December 30, 2018: The coming of the Magi

This week, Pastor Hodge expounded on Matthew 2:1-12. In the Christmas story, we see the wise men come to Jerusalem and then go to Bethlehem. How does that affect us 2000 years later? Listen and find out!

We also had Clark do our special music, along with Roger Seldal; and Pastor Hodge also did our children’s sermon today. We hope you are blessed by all these service elements, which you can listen to by cutting and pasting this link into your browser:

(Don't worry, it will link to a page, not an MP3 file.)

And we pray you have a blessed 2019 in Christ Jesus!

December 23, 2018: God's great gift of love

Due to technical difficulties, we missed the first minute of the sermon on the audio recording. Once that was resolved, Pastor Hodge talked about God’s intervention in the human history, and his love to us through his intervention what does that mean to us as we approach Christmas? Listen and find out!

We also had Molly Blobaum do special music, the Hodges lit our advent candle, and turn the volume up on the special music! You can hear all of these service elements here:

December 16, 2018: The Hope that shines in darkness

This week, Pastor Hodge looks at the darkness that is within us, which gives us no hope...until a prophecy of light was given in the book of Isaiah. Here, we see Jesus prophesied as the Light. And in Him, we have hope. He’ll also look at the practicality of our hope and what it produces in our lives.

We also had the Hodges and Karen give us our special music today, and the Story’s lit our Advent candle. We hope you are blessed by both of these service elements.

December 11, 2018: The Good News of Great Joy

This week, Pastor Hodge continued in his advent series on the good news of great joy. That, of course, is Jesus Christ. But is it the gift of true joy? And if it is, how does it help with what we’re dealing with right now, and in our lives? Listen and find out!

We also had Amy Taylor do our children’s sermon, and we had the lighting of the Advent candle. All of these can be found by cutting and pasting this link into your web browser:

December 2, 2018: Peace enters the world

This week, as we begin Advent, Pastor Hodge looks at Christ as the peace that enters the world. We will be looking at Luke 2:13-14, and Ephesians 2:14-18. In the book of Luke, we see the proclamation of peace that enters the world, and we see how peace is identified in Jesus. What does that mean to us today, and in our communion service? Listen and find out!

We also had Connie Storey do our special music. We pray that you are blessed by both of these service elements. You can hear both of them by cutting and pasting this link into your browser:
