July 14, 2019: Bad news overwhelmed by good news

This week, Pastor Hodge continued his series in Ephesians with his sermon titled "Bad news overwhelmed by good news". The bad news is the old self that we struggle with. The good news of the new self we experience helps to motivate us. But to what? Listen to Pastor Hodge and find out!

We also had Amy Taylor do our children's sermon today, and Jim Mistry gave us his report on his trip to Ethiopia, training pastors. All of these recordings can be found By cutting and pasting this link into your browser:

July 7, 2019: The striking contrasts begin

This week, Pastor Hodge's sermon was entitled, "The striking contrast begin; or, moving from lying, anger, stealing, and unwholesome words". We first look at Ephesians 4:25-30. In this, we are told to put off lies, and speak the truth. What is anger contrasted with? What is stealing contrasted with? Unwholesome speech? And what do we do with all this? Listen and find out!

June 30, 2019: Off with the old, on with the new

This week, Pastor Hodge expounded on Ephesians 4:22-24. These classic versus remind us on how the way we used to live, and how it is to be done away with; the old self is delusional. Then we see how we are to live our lives. Listen to Pastor Hodge's challenge in his sermon today.

We also had the Grace Men's quartet singing "There's Room At The Cross For You." I hope you are blessed by both of these service elements, which you can hear here:

June 23, 2019: Not walking as the Gentiles

This week, Pastor Hodge expounded on Ephesians 4:21.  His sermon, entitled "Moving towards the way we are to live our lives; or, not walking as the Gentiles" focuses in on our walk with Christ. We are no longer to walk the way we once walked, in our behavior, and in our ways.

Furthermore, some churches teach that we should walk with Christ through the ways of people who do not believe Christ. But verse 20 teaches us that this is not how we learned Christ. So, what is our challenge for us? Listen to his sermon and find out!

We also had Molly Blobaum do our children's sermon. We hope you are blessed by both of these service elements. You can hear these recordings here:

June 16, 2019: We are being fitted together in the Church

This week, Pastor Hodge expounded on Ephesians 4:16, on how we fit in together in the church. As we are directed by Godly men with leadership gifts, we listen, follow and are taught. How does this help us love the Lord and bring us together in Biblical unity? Listen and find out!

We also had Amy Taylor do our children sermon, and we prayed for and commissioned Dr. Jim Mistry's mission trip to Ethiopia. We hope you are blessed by these recordings, and you can hear these service elements here:

June 9, 2019: The church unified, or how mature can we be?

This week, Pastor Hodge expounded on Ephesians 4:13-15. We see here how the unified Church attains the unity of faith and the knowledge of the Son of God.. A mature church becomes fully grown in Christ. A divided church is a sign of spiritual immaturity.

Think about this over the week to come. Due to an issue, we were unable to record the sermon this week, but should have the problem corrected this coming week. And we hope you have a great week in Christ Jesus!

June 5, 2019: How to do Evangelism and why by Jim Rasmussen, AFLC Evangelism Director

During our Wednesday night Bible study, we had the opportunity to host Dr. Jim Rasmussen, the Director of Evangelism for the AFLC. His presentation on evangelism details the shortcomings we're seeing now, and how to correctly and effectively disciple a new believer in Christ. And it involves something many churches do not do. What is it? Listen to his presentation here by cutting and pasting this link into your favorite Web browser:
